Choose the format by learning goal
| Format | Best fit | Cost characteristic | Ask before booking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Initiation | Complete first-timer. | Low-commitment coached entry. | Is racket, court and ball use included? |
| Scheduled group | Regular learning and social practice. | Lower price per player. | Rating range, group maximum and minimum attendance. |
| Private one-to-one | One defined technical problem. | Highest attention and usually highest individual price. | Named coach, duration, assessment or video. |
| Two-player lesson | Pair movement and communication. | Shared attention and lower pp price than private. | Is the quoted amount total or per person? |
| Three/four-player lesson | Friends at a similar level. | Lower pp price, less individual feedback. | Coach-to-court ratio and level matching. |
| Play with coach | Match decisions and positioning. | Often longer and shared. | Number of players and whether drills are included. |
| Levelling session | Placement into groups or matches. | Short assessment format. | Rating system and how the result will be used. |
Compare the all-in price, not only the lesson line
Do not add an item that the package already includes, and never divide a published per-player amount again. When a page does not identify the unit or duration, keep the field unresolved and ask the provider.
All-in cost per player = lesson charge + separate court share + racket + balls + booking or tax charges
- Confirm the named coach or tier, exact duration and maximum group size.
- Ask whether the figure is total or per player and whether court, racket and balls are included.
- Check language, rating system, court cover and rain policy.
- Read cancellation, rescheduling, package expiry, transferability and coach-substitution terms.
Turn coaching into a separate peer practice plan
Start with initiation when you have never played. Choose a scheduled group for repetition with consistent peers, private coaching for one defined technical problem, and play-with-coach for decisions under match conditions.
After the lesson, publish a separate peer match with area, approximate level, preferred format, missing places and whether a real court is already reserved. Carving Mates connects people; it does not turn that peer match into coaching.
Frequently asked questions
How much does private padel coaching cost in Bali?
Selected official listings publish individual sessions from IDR 600k to IDR 1.4m. They are not directly equivalent because duration and inclusions differ.
Are group lessons cheaper?
They usually reduce the price per player, but a low headline with separate court and equipment can cost more than an all-in class.
Are court and racket included?
Sometimes. Several providers publish broad inclusions, while others list racket separately. Confirm the exact package.
Should a complete beginner choose private or group coaching?
An initiation or beginner group is the lower-commitment route. Private coaching suits someone who wants the session adapted entirely to them.
Is a lesson package automatically better value?
No. Compare expiry, coach restrictions, rescheduling, transferability and how many sessions you can realistically attend.
Does Carving Mates certify or rank coaches?
No. This guide compares published formats and prices; verify the coach, credentials, availability and terms directly.
